Signe Ronka

Trained by renowned coaches Ellen Burka, Olympic medalist Petra Burka, and Marcus Christensen, Signe became the Canadian Junior Ladies Bronze Medalist and represented Canada internationally on the Junior Grand Prix circuit, earning multiple medals and qualifying for the JGP Final and Junior World Championships.
Signe’s expertise extends beyond competition. She has worked with Olympic and World-level skaters including Yuzuru Hanyu, Javier Fernández, Boyang Jin, and Li Zijun. She was selected by Netflix to train actress Kaya Scodelario for a figure skating series and has been consulted on multiple productions for her ability to bring authenticity to skating on screen.

A passionate educator, Signe has presented at major coaching events such as the Skate Canada Ice Summit, the World Championship Coach Seminar in Finland, and the Nordic Ice Sports Seminar. Her contributions to the ISU Level 2 Coaching Curriculum and the Olympic Training Centre in Rovaniemi, Finland, continue to shape how coaches and athletes approach off-ice development worldwide.

Signe is the author of the Plan, Skate, Track guidebook, a goal-setting system for coaches and skaters that bridges the gap between planning, execution, and measurable progress. She also created a structured off-ice certification program and progressive training curriculum to help coaches and skaters build from fundamentals to elite performance.

To make her proven methods accessible globally, Signe launched FLEXAFIT Edge, a digital training platform where skaters can access her full library of drills, classes, and performance systems anytime, anywhere.

Known for her precision, creativity, and approachable teaching style, Signe continues to inspire skaters and coaches worldwide to train smarter, move better, and perform with confidence — on and off the ice.
